2009 Reunion

This year, the USS Coontz 2009 All Hands Reunion will be held in the ship's former homeport of Newport, RI! The reunion venue is the Johnson & Wales Inn in nearby Seekonk, MA.

We have some great activities lined up for this year's event, including a tour of one of Newport's magnificant mansions and Battleship Cove, including lunch aboard one of the ships. We have taken the state of the current economy in mind, kept prices low, and have packed in a lot of events and meals to give you more value for the money!

We hope to see all of our shipmates this year in Newport, RI!

Friday, September 11, 2009

3:00 pm – Check-in at Johnson & Wales Inn (registered guests)

7:00 pm – ??? – Meet and greet at the hospitality room. Water, soda and finger foods available. Hotel will serve keg of beer. Dinner will be served. Pick up registration package and Plan of the Day.

Saturday, September 12, 2009

7:00 am – Breakfast on your own; free continental breakfast available at Johnson & Wales Inn

8:00 am – USS Coontz Association officers meeting (officers only, location TBD)

9:00 am – Depart for tour of Battleship Cove and Newport mansion. Lunch will be served aboard ship at Battleship Cove. Transportation provided.

4 pm – Return to Hotel

5 pm – USS Coontz Association Meeting (hospitality room)

6 pm – Reunion Banquet at Johnson & Wales Inn

Hospitality Room will be open following the banquet

8:00 am – Farewell breakfast at Johnson & Wales Inn
